- MRI Equipment | STF
MRI EQUIPMENTS Our MRI systems are re-certified prior to shipment, which means the manufacturer will accept it for coverage under its own warranty or service plan We use factory-trained engineers for inspection, de-installation, refurbishing/remanufacturing, repair, and installation We are registered with the FDA as a medical device company. This means we must comply with strict standards for every piece of MRI equipment we buy, refurbish or resell Every MRI scanner is accredited through the American College of Radiation Accreditation for Magnetic Resonance Imaging Our process follows our strict standards as well as FDA guidelines, re-certification requirements, and protocols for accreditation from the American College of Radiology (ACR). This can be a painstaking process for us, simply because sometimes we'll never get past Step 1 with an MRI machine. If it doesn't pass our initial rigorous inspection, we walk away from that system, no matter good the price looks. Is it a waste of time? Absolutely not. While it's expensive for us to inspect a MRI system, we reject MRI systems with a problematic history or do not meet our strict standards and requirements. Often it means we're passing on a bargain-priced machine, but we know that eventually the cost and frustration of down-time and repair costs will negate any possible savings. Unfortunately these machines find their way on the market and some dealer is making a lot of money... and the customer is losing money. That's not who we are. Here's what we do: Inspection: Every MRI unit we consider for purchase goes through a rigorous pre-purchase inspection. This is a key step... a historically problematic MRI system will likely cause headaches in the future. Sometimes today's "bargain" is tomorrow's "wish I hadn't done that". De-installation: Manufacturer-trained engineers carefully remove the system from its old site and prepare it for its new life elsewhere. The MRI machine is disassembled down to its component level and fully tested. Each component is accepted, repaired, or replaced to meet manufacturer's specifications. Re-certification: The machine is then re-certified to be accepted by the manufacturer for warranty coverage. Financing: Our leasing experts can help you get the best rates quickly and easily. Logistics: The MRI is carefully packaged and shipped to its destination, installed, and tested. RF Shielding/Magnetic Shielding: The room and facility are inspected, tested, and ensured for proper Magnetic and RF shielding Rigging: Proper rigging of the magnet is performed by an experienced rigging professional Accreditation: Technicians have the MRI accredited by the ACR. Applications and Training: Applications specialists train the facility's technicians on their new MRI imaging machine. Warranty: Every STF MRI machine is fully warranted and covered by STF . Extended Service Coverage: STF offers significant savings over the manufacturer on service contracts. However, because the MRI has been re-certified, the manufacturer will also offer its own extended service contracts. The choice is yours.
